Screw-Terminal LED Power Supplies: 12V and 24V Models

Choose a screw-terminal LED supply by the lighting voltage, incoming mains range and installation arrangement. This collection compares 12V and 24V metal-case units with different total outputs and terminal layouts. The input range changes between models, so it should be checked before the power rating is used to shortlist a supply.

Slim cases and covered-terminal formats offer different physical starting points for a display assembly. Provide the mounting space, cable route and connected load so the correct case and electrical configuration can be identified. Photographs establish the pictured construction; they do not establish universal frame fit or the complete installation specification.

Compare input range and complete-unit output

The figures below are the values documented on the model labels. Use the total-unit rating when reviewing the lighting load. Catalogue ordering references are retained where the original label gives a rated type rather than the same model string.

Check the incoming supply before selecting by wattage

The 250W and 350W 24V units list 170–260V AC input. The 100W 24V L100-W1V24 instead lists 100–240V. Do not carry an input range from another size in the family into the purchase specification. Record the intended destination supply alongside the selected model.

The 12V and 24V outputs are separate choices. Match the actual lighting requirement; a similar case or terminal block does not make the voltage versions interchangeable. For replacement projects, include the old supply label and the connected-light model details.

Understand repeated output terminals

The 150W reference shows seven positions marked L, N, earth, two negative and two positive terminals. The 250W and 350W references show nine positions, including three positive and three negative output terminals. The repeated positions do not multiply the complete-unit rating or establish independently rated channels.

Provide the planned branch loads and cable arrangement for review. Individual terminal loading, conductor sizes, tightening requirements and any distribution components need confirmation for the selected assembly. The product pictures are useful connection references rather than a substitute for the installation documentation.

Confirm case dimensions, access and mounting space

The 60W and 100W 12V units show narrow metal cases with terminal connections at their ends. Other references show covered terminal blocks, ventilation openings and different enclosure formats. Request the selected model drawing and allow for the actual cable route, termination access and mounting points.

Describe where the supply will sit inside or alongside the display. Enclosure suitability, environmental requirements and installation clearances should be agreed from the quoted version. A metal case or transparent terminal cover alone does not establish a waterproof rating or suitability for every sign cabinet.

Purchasing and configuration questions

Are all six supplies rated for 100–240V input?

No. Check the table for the chosen model. In particular, the 250W and 350W 24V references list 170–260V AC rather than 100–240V.

Do repeated output terminals provide separate full-power outputs?

The stated current and power belong to the complete unit. Repeated positive and negative positions do not establish multiple independent supplies or multiply the available total output.

Can I order by the existing case dimensions alone?

Include dimensions, input, output, connected load and terminal requirements. Physical similarity is only one part of matching a replacement supply.

What belongs in the quotation request?

Send the model, lighting voltage and load, destination mains supply, installation drawing and cable arrangement. Identify any required leads, distribution parts or marking separately.

Details for the configuration enquiry

  • Selected model and destination mains supply

  • Required 12V or 24V output and combined lighting load

  • Assembly drawing, mounting space and terminal access

  • Branch loads, cable requirements and supplied component list

Request the right terminal-supply configuration

Include the supply reference and installation drawing with your enquiry. A load list and cable sketch help define the electrical version and assembly requirements before the order is placed.
