Lightbox Replacement Bars: Match Voltage, Connectors and Mounting

A replacement lightbox bar needs an electrical, mechanical and optical match. Start with the existing power-unit label, bar measurements and wiring photographs. A familiar length or connector appearance is useful evidence, but neither establishes that a new source can reuse the complete old installation.

These candidates illustrate different connection and fixing arrangements. Compare them against the assembly you are replacing, then confirm the supplied bar, leads, hardware and power configuration as one set. The comparison helps prepare a matching enquiry; it does not identify every model as a universal replacement.

Compare the connection and optical differences

Read the input requirement separately from power and length. SL-BL009-120-S has useful replacement and fixing references, but a numeric input voltage needs confirmation for the quoted configuration. Keep that requirement separate rather than borrowing 24V from another bar.

Record the existing supply and wiring

Photograph the power unit label so its input, output and model are readable. Add the number and model of existing bars, the wiring route and any external switch or controller. Record whether the proposed change replaces a single bar, an entire row or the complete lighting set.

For the 24V candidates, confirm the matching supply and approved wiring arrangement. Connector dimensions, polarity and branch loads remain part of that review. For SL-BL009-120-S, request the required input and control configuration before deciding whether any existing electrical parts can be retained.

Measure clearance and identify the fixing method

Measure the complete bar, including its lenses and sockets, and record available space inside the frame. The two 360mm candidates differ in width and connector construction despite sharing a length and nominal power. Include room for the mating plug and the direction in which its cable leaves the bar.

The 470mm replacement reference illustrates different profile fixings: a round-hole screw-and-nut arrangement and a square-hole hand-tightening fastener. Send the frame cross-section, hole shape and fixing positions. The selected hardware and quantities should appear on the quotation.

Compare optics and white appearance before repeating the order

A similar electrical load can still produce a different result behind a graphic. Record the enclosure depth, face material, bar direction and existing spacing. The 15 × 45° and 20 × 60° lens references identify different optical candidates; they do not establish the same distribution in every enclosure.

Select the required white-light version and assess a sample with the intended face material. Keep that sample position, electrical set and fixing arrangement with the approval record. Replacement scope should include any changed supply, lead, coupler, sensor or mounting part rather than assuming those components come with every bar.

Purchasing and configuration questions

Can I keep the old power supply?

Send its readable label and the proposed lighting load. Reuse depends on the confirmed bar input, supply requirement, connector, polarity and complete wiring arrangement.

Are both 360mm 10W bars interchangeable?

They have different widths, stated outputs and connection details. Compare the complete dimensions, sockets, optics and approved electrical configuration before choosing either model.

Is SL-BL009-120-S a 24V bar?

Confirm the input and matching control/supply configuration for the ordered version. This comparison does not assign a numeric voltage to that model.

Can the bars be cut or fitted with any existing connector?

Field cutting and universal connector compatibility are not established here. Provide the required size and mating connection so the appropriate supplied configuration can be confirmed.

Details for the configuration enquiry

  • Existing bar and readable supply-label photographs

  • Complete dimensions, socket measurements and polarity

  • Frame section, hole shape and available connector clearance

  • Graphic material, optics, white-light version and replacement scope

Send the existing assembly for replacement matching

Include the old bar, power label, connectors and fixing points in your photographs. Add measurements and the quantity so the quotation can identify the proposed replacement set and any parts that need to change.
