Clamp, Slider or Mounting Plate: Choosing a Display Arm Light Fixing
A display arm light fixing should be selected from the lamp interface and the structure it will attach to. “Clamp mounted” is not enough information to confirm compatibility. Panel thickness, frame profile, clearance and the accessory drawing all matter.
Three common fixing approaches
| Fixing | What the buyer must check | Useful enquiry material |
|---|
| Panel clamp | Clamp opening, contact area, mounting orientation and lamp interface | Measured panel thickness plus front and side photos |
| Frame slider | Profile channel geometry, insertion space and the fixing interface | Frame section drawing with dimensions |
| Mounting plate | Plate dimensions, hole positions and the supporting structure | Drawing or photos showing the proposed fixing points |
Use the mounting accessory catalogue to identify a candidate, then match it to the selected fixture. The presence of a similar-looking slot or screw does not establish fit. Choose a mounting method that the display builder can secure according to the accessory and structure requirements.
Why the same lamp can need a different order configuration
A distributor may sell one lamp family for several types of stand construction. Keep the lamp model and accessory model together in the quotation. Changing the fixing after an order can also affect packaging, assembly and cable exit clearance. The lamp image alone may not identify every part supplied with that version.
The 25W exhibition spotlight catalogue page presents clamp and slider options. Use those pictures as a starting point for an enquiry, then provide the actual frame dimensions. They do not mean that every option is included in one standard set or fits every exhibition system.
A mounting enquiry in five measurements
Panel thickness or the complete profile cross-section.
The available distance between the fixing and the graphic or adjacent components.
The proposed lamp position and the direction it needs to aim.
Any existing mounting holes or slots, shown with measurements.
The lamp and accessory models plus the quantity of each.
Check fit with the sample assembly
Evaluate the selected lamp and fixing as an assembly. Check how the accessory sits on the structure, whether the graphic can be installed without interference and whether the cable has space to leave the mounting area. Avoid modifying a bracket or drilling a lamp body unless the relevant design has been confirmed.
Keep accessories identifiable for repeat orders
Record the accessory model, drawing revision or dimensions in the purchasing record. If you supply several stand formats, separate each lamp-and-fixing combination in the order. This reduces the risk of a later reorder using a different clamp that looks similar in a photograph.
Confirm the lamp and fixing together
Send a profile drawing or panel measurements, the desired fixture model and target quantity. We can review the catalogue accessory options and prepare a model-specific quotation.
