Preparing Lighting for a Modular Exhibition Stand

A modular exhibition stand lighting plan should identify the frame profile, graphic surfaces and power route before a lamp order is placed. The name of a stand system is useful context, but the actual fixing dimensions are needed to confirm an accessory.

Mark the lamp positions on the stand drawing

Show the panels or products to be illuminated and the proposed lamp position for each. Add a side view showing arm reach and clearance above the graphic. Distinguish perimeter panels, feature walls and product displays instead of allocating the same fixture arrangement to every area.

Record the mounting interface

• Dimensioned frame section and any available channel.

• Panel thickness when a clamp will be used.

• Fixing location and space to insert or tighten the accessory.

• Lamp and accessory model for each position.

• Any installation restrictions supplied by the stand builder.

Compare clamps, sliders and mounting accessories with the selected exhibition arm light. Do not assign universal compatibility from a product photograph or a familiar profile name.

Plan power as part of the assembly

Show supply locations and cable routes on the same drawing as the lamps. Confirm the lamp input, plug, lead and connection arrangement for each selected version. Shared or linked supplies should only be used where the components support that arrangement. Provide the quantity and models so the configuration can be checked.

Use an assembly sample for repeat stand builds

Fit the sample lamp and accessory to the actual profile before buying for several stands. Check the graphic installation, cable exit and aiming space as part of the same assembly. Record the approved configuration for repeat purchasing and for teams assembling the display at different venues.
