What to Specify When Ordering LED Lightbox Modules

A clear LED lightbox module order links the selected module to the cabinet it will illuminate. Send the cabinet dimensions and construction together with the electrical and optical requirements. This gives a manufacturer more useful information than an enquiry for “bright lightbox LEDs”.

Create a module specification sheet

Use the correct source for electrical data

Read the specification and original label for the exact model. A familiar connector, product-family name or model-number pattern does not establish the input voltage. Keep the module and LED power supply as separate line items with their required interface confirmed. If you already use a supply, send a clear label photo rather than only its appearance.

State the optical option explicitly

Module families can have different lens arrangements or colour versions. Include the exact option in the enquiry and sample record. If a catalogue image and a description conflict, identify the drawing or original specification in question before ordering. A quoted beam angle should not be converted into a guaranteed lightbox spacing without evaluating the intended cabinet.

Provide the cabinet information once, in full

• Illuminated face width and height, plus internal depth.

• Graphic, fabric or diffuser type and whether the lightbox is double-sided.

• Mounting surface, available fixing positions and a section drawing.

• Cable routing space, power supply position and service access.

• Quantity per design, required destination market and target schedule.

Approve a configuration for the repeat order

Samples are available. Evaluate the chosen LED module in the intended cabinet, then record its model, colour, lens, layout and supply configuration. If the bulk order contains several cabinet sizes, identify them separately; an approved layout for one size does not automatically validate another.
