Evaluating a Display Lighting Sample Before a Bulk Order

A display lighting sample is most useful when it is evaluated as the configuration you intend to order. Record the exact model, light option, fixing and supply before the test. A sample that looks acceptable in isolation may still need a different mounting arrangement for the finished display.

Check the sample against the requested specification

For exhibition spotlights and arm lights

Mount the sample on the intended panel or frame with the proposed accessory. Check available adjustment space, arm reach and cable clearance. Evaluate the actual graphic or displayed product from the intended audience position. Keep the lamp distance and aiming position recorded when comparing different samples.

For lightbox modules and ladder lights

Use the intended graphic material, internal cabinet depth and mounting layout. Inspect the illuminated face, including corners and edges. Record the module quantity, positions and supply used in the test. An approved configuration for one cabinet size should be identified separately from another size.

Separate the sample result from additional requirements

If documents, different plugs, custom packaging or branding are needed for the bulk order, list those requirements explicitly. A physical sample does not by itself confirm every destination-market requirement. Ask for the model-specific information required by your project before approving production.

Keep a short approval record

• Approved lamp or module reference and quantity.

• Accessory, electrical and colour configuration.

• Display drawing or photos of the evaluation arrangement.

• Any agreed changes still needed for production.

• Bulk order quantity, destination and confirmed schedule.
